The Midlands Aids Service Organisation (Maso) in Gweru has provided farming training to 120 youths in poultry, rabbit, and fish farming. The initiative is aimed at economically empowering the youth. The training was commended by the Midlands provincial development officer in the Women’s Affairs ministry, Sithembile Dube, for providing income-generating skills and reducing unemployment. She also highlighted that farming projects can help young people avoid social vices like sex work and drug addiction.
