Villagers in Ninghai County, Zhejiang Province, China have been digging razor clams despite the rainy weather due to a surge in sales and high prices. These clams were planted during the Qingming Festival last year and have grown to about 7 cm in size. The market price of razor clams has increased by 3-5 yuan/catties from the same period last year, currently priced at around 30 yuan/catties. Farmers are expecting a good harvest, with one pond expected to yield between 15,000 to 16,000 catties.
