Not just fresh fruit exports! Myanmar mangoes accelerate "transformation," international orders for jams and dried fruits surge

A relevant official from the association stated that processing and exporting value-added products along with whole mangoes will create more opportunities for fruit farmers.

Mangoes of varieties such as Saint-Dru, Eagle-Beak, and Maggie-Butter cultivated in Myanmar have already been exported to China, Singapore, and some European countries, with China being the largest export market.

The Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization disclosed that Russia has currently proposed a long-term cooperation intention to purchase ten thousand tons of Myanmar mango jam annually.

The Myanmar mango market indicated that this year's production season is facing many difficulties due to the sluggish demand in the international market and rising production costs.

Some owners of border fruit trading markets reported that when exporting Myanmar mangoes to China through border trade channels, the long transportation time causes the fruit quality to deteriorate upon arrival in the Chinese market, making it difficult to obtain the desired price.
