Oat imports from Ukraine have already reached the limit

From yesterday until June 5, 2025, Ukrainian oats imported into the EU will be carried out within the tariff quota of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) in force since 2016 between the two parties. The automatic reintroduction of this tariff quota is the result of the revised Autonomous Trade Measures (ATM) in force from June 6, 2024. The ATM regulation includes an emergency brake for several products, including oats, which is automatically activated if import volumes reach the annual average imports recorded between July 1, 2021 and December 31, 2023. For oats , this average is 2,440.56 tons. Once this volume is reached, the European Commission reintroduces the corresponding DCFTA tariff quota within 14 days. The oat quota is set at 4,000 tons.
