Between January and April 2024, fruit exports in Brazil reached a historical high of 1.5 million tons, an increase of 3.8%, with a value of US$ 4,441 million, marking the fourth consecutive year of growth. The exports were dominated by cherries, which accounted for 46.1% of the shipments. The main destinations for these exports were China, the US, and the Netherlands. The value of cherry shipments alone was US$ 2,048 million. Grapes, blueberries, plums, and apples also contributed significantly to the exports. This period also saw a increase in the export of processed and fresh fruits, with a notable increase in the export of frozen, dehydrated, and canned fruits.
