A report by the Undersecretariat of Fisheries has found a slight increase in fisheries landings in Argentina until May 31, with minor variations in most products, except shrimp. The report also noted a decrease in average prices for most products, leading to a higher volume of sales for a lower amount of dollars. Mar del Plata remains the leading port in landings, with Spain as the main market. There was an increase in landings of hubbsi hake and other species such as pollock and sea bream. However, there was a decrease in landings of spider crab and chondrichthyans. Exports saw a 9% rise in volume but a 3.6% drop in foreign currency.
