Olive growers in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, will meet with the International Olive Oil Committee (IOC) to discuss a campaign to boost the consumption of extra virgin olive oil in the country. The four-year campaign, with a total budget of 520 thousand euros, aims to promote the quality of Brazilian olive oil, which is recognized on the international stage. The IOC's executive director, Jaime Lilio, will present the campaign and discuss Brazil's potential inclusion in the IOC, a move supported by the Brazilian Institute of Olive Growing (Ibraoliva) and local producers.
