On October 23, the "Wholesale Price Index for Agricultural Products" rose by 0.68 points compared to yesterday.

According to the monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "200 Index of Agricultural Wholesale Prices" on October 23 was 121.62, rising by 0.68 points from yesterday, and the wholesale price index for "grocery basket" products was 123.02, rising by 0.79 points from yesterday. As of 2:00 PM today, the average wholesale price of pork in national agricultural wholesale markets was 17.62 yuan/kg, down by 0.6% from yesterday; beef was 66.41 yuan/kg, up by 0.3% from yesterday; mutton was 61.82 yuan/kg, up by 0.2% from yesterday; eggs were 7.42 yuan/kg, up by 0.4% from yesterday; and white-feathered chickens were 17.72 yuan/kg, down by 0.3% from yesterday. The average price of 28 key monitored vegetables was 5.30 yuan/kg, up by 2.5% from yesterday; the average price of 6 key monitored fruits was 7.08 yuan/kg, up by 1.3% from yesterday. Carp was 19.62 yuan/kg, down by 0.1% from yesterday; crucian carp was 13.70 yuan/kg, down by 0.4% from yesterday; white sturgeon was 10.08 yuan/kg, down by 0.1% from yesterday; and large ribbonfish was 40.58 yuan/kg, up by 3.2% from yesterday.

Today, among the 46 varieties of fresh agricultural products in the domestic wholesale market that are under key monitoring, the top five with the highest price increases compared to yesterday were eggplant, cauliflower, rapeseed, onion heads, and cucumbers, with increases of 6.1%, 5.1%, 4.9%, 4.9%, and 4.2% respectively; the top five with the highest price decreases were watermelon, pineapple, pork, lotus root, and large yellow croaker, with decreases of 0.7%, 0.7%, 0.6%, 0.5%, and 0.4% respectively.
