In the first half of the year, Kazakhstan's sausage production reached 32.8 thousand tons, marking a 2.3% increase from the same period in 2023, with the East Kazakhstan region being the top producer. Boiled sausages, frankfurters, and small sausages constituted nearly half of the total production. Local companies supplied 60.8% of the domestic demand, while imports grew by 6.6%. Sausage prices rose by 5.6% year-on-year, with the steepest increases in Shymkent and Kyzylorda. The average retail price for boiled sausage was 2.9 thousand tenge per kg, and for half-smoked sausage, it was 3.6 thousand tenge per kg.
