In January, weak demand for oranges led to a decrease in prices in many Supply Centers (Ceasas) across Brazil, with drops of 23.76% in Fortaleza and 18.65% in Recife. This was part of a broader trend, with prices for persimmon, pitaya, lychee, cherry, avocado, fig, star fruit, and lemon also falling. However, vegetable prices generally increased, with potatoes and carrots becoming more expensive due to climate issues. Meanwhile, prices for vegetables like arugula, pumpkin, peppers, garlic, and green beans in São Paulo saw a reduction.
