The Office of the National Education Commission is working on a strategy to boost the income of Thai farmers by promoting the cultivation and marketing of 'Chompoo' rose apples. This initiative, led by Deputy Prime Minister Jurin Laksanawisit, aims to make the fruit more popular and increase exports. The Office has identified several high-yield varieties and noted that while most production remains domestic, exports have seen a significant increase in 2020. To further enhance market opportunities, farmers are encouraged to improve quality, adopt modern farming practices, and consider value-added processing. The office also emphasizes the importance of farmers forming cooperatives and promoting agricultural tourism to generate additional income.
