REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Palm Oil Farmers' Union (SPKS) urges the government to stop policy pressures that could harm farmers. This organization, with millions of members, believes that the involvement of farmers is a key factor to ensure that the national biodiesel program truly supports the people and does not only benefit large industries. This call comes after a Public Hearing (RDP) between Commission VII of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia and the Directorate General of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) on Tuesday (11/11/2025). In the meeting, several council members highlighted the importance of ensuring that renewable energy policies, such as biodiesel, do not pressure the lives of oil palm farmers as the main raw material producers.
