Up to 500 million tons of palm waste and biomass in Southeast Asia can be used to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), which will help the region diversify its activities beyond limited used vegetable oil reserves, experts said at the MyAero SAF symposium held from July 1 to 3.
