Farmers in Manikganj’s Singair upazila, Bangladesh, are experiencing increased profitability through papaya cultivation, with many generating significant income and expanding cultivation areas year after year. The upazila has become a major papaya production hub, supplying both locally and to Dhaka markets. The Department of Agricultural Extension is supporting this initiative by providing training and regular visits to enhance production standards. In the current season, the upazila has dedicated 985 hectares to papaya cultivation, with a production goal of 31,600 tons.
