In 2022, paprika exports totaled 35,593 tons for US$112 million, representing a 6% drop in volume, but with a 2% growth in the value of shipments. This result comes after a significant increase in the average price of the product, since the Peruvian paprika exporter received an average of US$3.16 per kilogram (8% higher than in 2021). Commercial dynamics in 2022The first quarter of 2022 was positive for Peruvian paprika. The international logistics crisis slowed shipments from China to the main markets such as North America and Europe, due to the excessive costs of shipments from this country.
