According to a report by Paraguay's ABC Color on the 23rd, Kaffe'i coffee shop is located on Palma Street in the heart of Asunción. The shop is popular for its tranquil atmosphere, exquisite decor, and superior coffee quality.
The "Best 100 Coffee Shops in South America" list was generated after over 200 judges evaluated more than 1,800 coffee shops. Kaffe'i coffee shop founder Luis Wong will receive recognition at the awards ceremony of the Colombia Coffee Expo (Corferias) on the 25th.
It is reported that Kaffe'i opened in November of last year and, in less than a year, has captivated local coffee enthusiasts with its home-roasted, high-quality coffee. Currently, Kaffe'i sources coffee beans from Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay, and plans to expand its procurement range to Central America, Africa, and Asia.
Kaffe'i founder Luis Wong is Paraguay's first and only "Catador Q" coffee taster, with international certifications from the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) and the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). His professional experience and passion for coffee ensure the selection of high-quality coffee beans and roasting at Kaffe'i.
Luis Wong believes that Kaffe'i has become an important site in the revitalization of Asunción's historic center, which had long been in a state of neglect. "Asunción's center has a glorious but forgotten history. We chose to start our business here because we believe this place deserves to be reborn, and Kaffe'i is a participant in this transformation," he said.
Luis Wong stated that being listed is a recognition of Paraguay's development of specialty coffee culture, which is still in the developmental stage of high-end coffee production and consumption. For the Kaffe'i team, being listed means greater responsibility and commitment.
Luis Wong said, "It is a great honor to represent Paraguay on the international stage. This nomination inspires us to continuously improve, strive to provide excellent coffee, and cultivate a community that values coffee quality and origin. This ranking not only honors the best coffee shops in South America but also promotes the professional development of the coffee industry, boosts coffee tourism, and highlights the value of local baristas, roasters, and producers. Kaffe'i's listing proves that Paraguay holds an important position in the South American specialty coffee landscape."
