Paraguay's soybean processing volume has decreased by 23% in October compared to the same period in 2021, totaling 1,866,169 tons, which is 1 million tons less than the average of the past three years. The drought from the previous agricultural season contributed to this decline. The year 2022 is now the worst for the industry since 2012, with only 45,557 tons industrialized in October. The stock of raw material is also limited, and most factories have stopped. While the milling of other grains has increased, it cannot make up for the loss in soybean processing.
