The Argentine Peanut Chamber (CAM) is calling for the elimination of export duties and the implementation of promotional policies to boost regional economies. The chamber, which represents an industry that employs over 12,000 people and generates more than US$ 1,000 million in annual exports, argues that high costs and a lack of competitiveness, exacerbated by the restoration of the Export Increase Program (PIE) favoring soybeans, are causing significant losses. The CAM is advocating for equal incentives for all exports and is critical of the lack of implementation of the 'Export Increase Fund' and the differential exchange rate intended to support regional economies.
