As of December 8, 2024, global pepper prices remained stable with no fluctuations. In Vietnam, the domestic pepper price continued to increase sharply, reaching up to 147,000 VND/kg. From the beginning of the year to the end of November 2024, Vietnam imported a total of 32,977 tons of pepper, with black pepper making up 28,978 tons and white pepper 3,999 tons, marking a significant increase in volume and turnover compared to the previous year. Olam Vietnam was the largest importer, and Indonesia was the largest pepper supplier to Vietnam.
