On March 15, 2024, pepper prices in Indonesia saw a slight decrease, while prices in other countries remained stable. In Vietnam, however, the domestic pepper market experienced an increase of 500 VND/kg. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development highlighted that pepper has seen significant price increases recently. The first two months of 2024 saw a sharp decrease in Vietnam's export pepper output, leading to increased imports from other countries. It is anticipated that strong demand from China will push the price beyond 100,000 VND/kg in the near future.
