The National Agricultural Health Service (Senasa) officially announced access for Peruvian table grapes to the Israeli market, a nation with around 10 million consumers, after successfully concluding a sanitary management process that took over three years. On July 1, 2025, Senasa received the Bilateral Quarantine Agreement from the Plant Protection and Inspection Services (PPIS) of Israel's Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, notifying that the phytosanitary evaluation process has been favorable for fresh grapes from Peru. Israel represents a strategic destination that adds to the major commercial options for Peruvian producers, being a market with high sanitary standards that until now had only South Africa, the United States, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Uzbekistan as suppliers.
