Peru completed the first export of 27 tons of chicken meat to Haiti

The National Service of Agrarian Health (Senasa) reported that Peru made the first export of poultry meat after recovering its international sanitary status as a country free of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). The shipment consists of 27 tons of frozen chicken legs destined for Haiti, thus consolidating the country's official return to the global trade of poultry products. This milestone has been possible thanks to the commitment of the national poultry sector, which has maintained rigorous sanitary standards and promoted the commercial reactivation of the sector at the international level. The operation was led by the company San Fernando S.A., whose facilities have sanitary approval for export and complied with the demanding food safety and animal health controls supervised by Senasa.
