In July 2024, Peruvian ginger exports saw a 9.4% increase in value but a 20.3% decrease in volume year-over-year, totaling US$ 9.7 million for 4,688 tons. This growth was attributed to a 37.3% increase in average price per kilogram due to low production in China and India, the world's main ginger exporters. These exports were distributed across 16 markets, with the United States being the primary recipient. Other significant destinations included the Netherlands and Spain. Leading Peruvian exporters were Agronegocios la Grama S.A.C., JCH Agroexportaciones S.A., and Elisur Organic S.A.C.
