In May 2024, Peruvian avocado exports saw a 25% decrease in volume but a 3% increase in value compared to May 2023, totaling 95,503 tons worth $187.2 million. This was due to a 38% increase in average price, which rose to $1.96 per kilogram. The exports were distributed to 37 destinations, with the Netherlands, Spain, and the United States being the most significant buyers. The majority of the exports were fresh avocados, accounting for 95.7% of shipments. The top exporters were Avocado Packing Company S.A.C., Camposol S.A., Westfalia Fruit Perú S.A., Corporación Agrolatina S.A.C., and Agrícola Cerro Prieto S.A.
