Peru is making significant progress in exporting beef and pork to China, with headway in phytosanitary protocol negotiations. Additionally, the country is discussing three other protocols for the export of frozen fruits, pomegranates, and pecans. These protocols aim to include small producers, primarily from the Andean region, allowing for international shipments from most regions in Peru. The ministry remains hopeful for the implementation of these protocols by the end of the year, marking a milestone in expanding Peru's export portfolio beyond agricultural products into meat products.
