The National Institute of Agrarian Innovation (INIA) has organized the second edition of the Piura 2024 International Goat Convention to focus on sustainable goat farming and the transfer of profitable technologies. The convention, held in collaboration with the National University of Piura and Midagri's General Directorate of Livestock Development, aims to enhance the value chain through genetic and commercial development of goat breeding, and by strengthening producers as leaders. International experts from around the world will share their insights on topics such as dry forest conservation, innovation in health and animal welfare, reproduction, nutrition, and the economic impact of goat farming. The goal is to improve goat productivity, genetic quality, and empower producers. The convention will take place until the 20th of this month at the National University of Piura and the El Chira Agrarian Experimental Station.
