Between January and May 2022, Germany's agricultural imports totaled US$ 18,233 million, marking a 3% increase from the previous year. Peru's agricultural exports to Germany saw a 36% rise to US$ 313 million, ranking it 15th as a supplier and increasing its share to 1.7%. The main imports from Peru were coffee, mangoes, and avocados. Coffee imports experienced a 62% value increase, making Germany the fifth largest importer of Peruvian coffee. Mango imports saw a decrease in both volume and value, but Peru remained the largest supplier. Avocado imports also increased in volume but decreased in value, with Peru ranking as the fifth largest supplier despite a drop in value.
