Between January and November 2024, Peru's banana exports have seen a significant increase compared to the previous year, with a total of 148,526 tons valued at $130.6 million. This marks a 7% increase in volume and a 12% increase in value. The majority of these exports, 97%, were made through Euroandinos Port Terminals – Paita, with the remainder through DP World. The Netherlands, the United States, and Italy were the primary markets for these bananas. The Netherlands saw a 5% increase in volume, a 15% increase in value, and a 9% increase in average price, while the United States experienced a 94% increase in volume and a 22% increase in value, despite a 37% decrease in average price. Italy's market received 19% less volume but saw a 5% increase in value and a 29% increase in average cost. Pronatur S.A.C., Agronegocios Los Ángeles S.A.C., and IREN Perú S.A.C. were the leading exporters to the Netherlands, the United States, and Italy, respectively.
