Peruvian blueberry exports saw a 30% growth in volume, reaching 286,657 tons, but a 16% decrease in price led to a 9% increase in value to $1.429 billion. The price drop contributed to the industry's growth, which has seen a significant increase since 2019, when shipments reached around 125,000 tons. There is still potential for growth as Peru has only exported to 32 markets, and the Directorate of Economic Studies of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) is working with Senasa to open new markets in South Africa, South Korea, New Zealand, Vietnam, Argentina, Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Australia.
