Peruvian blueberry exports increased by 41.5% in August

According to the Association of Exporters (Adex), from January to August 2024, blueberry shipments totaled $545.94 million dollars, showing a positive evolution of 41.5% compared to the same period of the previous year (385.75 million). The United States consolidated itself as its leading destination with a 60% share and making shipments for 326 million 319 thousand dollars, an increase of 74.2% compared to what was achieved in 2023 (187 million 365 thousand dollars). The top 5 also included the Netherlands ($84 million 914 thousand), Hong Kong ($37 million 886 thousand dollars), China ($29 million 401 thousand dollars), the United Kingdom ($28 million 972 thousand dollars). Other markets were Brazil, Thailand, Taiwan, Spain and Colombia. In addition, shipments were mainly identified from La Libertad for 316 million 85 thousand dollars, representing 60% of the total.
