Between January and October of this year, Peruvian coffee exports saw a significant increase of 60.9%, totaling US$ 917 million, compared to the same period in 2023. This surge is attributed to both favorable international prices and a increased volume of shipments, reaching 209,700 tons. As a result, coffee becomes the third most important Peruvian agricultural export product, following fresh blueberries and avocados. The United States, Germany, Belgium, Canada, and Sweden were the main markets, with notable growth in Mexico and Russia. This growth in the coffee export sector highlights Peru's position as the ninth largest exporter of green coffee beans in 2023, according to the International Trade Centre (ITC).
