The aroma and flavor of Peruvian coffee have conquered more than 50 markets around the world between January and November 2025, with the United States, Germany, Belgium, and Canada being its main destinations, said Ysabel Segura Arévalo, the manager of Institutional Relations and Agreements of the Association of Exporters (ADEX). However, she added that domestic consumption barely reaches 1.6 kg per person per year, a low volume when compared to Colombia, which reaches 2.5 kg, or Brazil, with 5.5 kg. This scenario poses a challenge, but also an opportunity. “We have ample space to continue promoting our coffee, bringing it closer to consumers, and highlighting its quality, diversity, and cultural value,” she pointed out.
