In 2020, Singapore's fruit imports rose by 2% to US $ 705 million, with Peru contributing US $ 4 million, marking a 39% increase from the previous year. This growth allowed Peru to surpass Italy as the leading fruit supplier, ranking 21st. Cranberries, grapes, and walnuts were the most notable imports, experiencing significant increases in volume and value. Cranberries saw a doubling in both areas, but prices fell by 2%. Grapes and walnuts also surged, with grapes reaching 0.3% of total imports and walnuts 56%. Despite the increase, walnut prices dropped by 29%.
