Peru's table grape exports are projected to reach US$ 1,800 million for the 2022/2023 campaign, with an estimated dispatch of 700 thousand tons, making the country the global leader in table grape supply by volume, surpassing Chile. The United States, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, China, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Spain, South Korea, and Canada are the primary markets for Peru's grape exports. This growth is attributed to higher production yields of the plant rather than an increase in surface area. The shift has been towards more productive patented varieties such as Sweet Globe, Allison, Autumn Crisp, and Sweet Celebration, with a decrease in the cultivation of traditional varieties like Red Globe.
