Despite a global downturn in the production of certain citrus fruits, Peruvian tangelo exports, particularly the Minneola variety, saw a positive performance in July. This was attributed to a significant increase in price, which compensated for a slight drop in volume. Tangelo exports in July amounted to $7.11 million, marking a 41.5% increase from the previous year, despite a 5.1% decrease in volume. The United States was the primary market for these exports. The price per kilogram also surged by 49.1% to $1.31. The exports were managed by prominent exporters such as Procesadora Laran S.A.C., Coexa, and Consorcio de Productores de Fruta S.A., and mainly shipped from Paracas Port Terminal, APM Terminals, and DP World.
