Peruvian tomato exports fall in volume -74.3% in February 2024

(Agraria.pe) In February 2024, Peruvian tomato exports reached 557 tons, showing a reduction of -74.3% compared to the 2,166 tons reported in February of the previous year. In the second month of this year, Peruvian tomatoes were exported mainly in the form of paste, which covered more than 90% of the total, equivalent to 504 tons. In second place, processed was found, representing 5.6% of the total volume, which is equivalent to 31 tons; followed by fresh with 4%, equivalent to 22 tons. In the month of February, receptivity was found in 7 countries. Venezuela was the one that bought the most, with 40.6% of the total, equivalent to 226 tons.
