In August 2024, Peru's tomato exports saw a significant decrease, with a total of 486 tons, marking a 75% drop compared to the same month in the previous year. Despite the decline, Peru managed to export to seven countries, with Brazil and Colombia being the primary recipients, accounting for 64% and 17% of the share, respectively. Notable exporters included Gastaldi Perú S.A.C. and Icatom S.A., which held 59% and 41% of the market share, respectively. There were also 13 purchasing companies recorded during this period.
