Spring frosts have led to a disappointingly low plum harvest this year, but the market has not seen higher prices to compensate. In fact, purchase prices have remained steady at PLN 3.00/kg for purple varieties larger than 32 mm in diameter, despite the smaller yield. Preliminary forecasts predict a 17% decrease in plum harvest this year, but growers believe the drop will be greater. Import data for June will provide more insight into the situation.
