In 2020, Nigeria experienced a 21% increase in the import of dairy products, with Poland being one of the major suppliers. The country exported dairy products like milk, cream, buttermilk, whey, butter, cheese, and cottage cheese to Nigeria. The highest increase in exports was seen in milk and cream, with a 144% rise compared to 2019. Poland has a 3.15% share in the value of SMP exports to Nigeria. On April 22, 2021, an online conference titled 'The Dairy Sector in Nigeria' was organized by the Polish Chamber of Milk, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Abuja, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. The conference was attended by representatives from these organizations, as well as the presidents of the largest Polish dairy cooperatives and companies.
