Kazakhstan has lifted the ban on the supply and transit of pork and pork products from four Russian regions, following negotiations with Russia. However, the ban on the import of live pigs and pork products from the Tyumen, Astrakhan, and Chelyabinsk regions remains due to concerns about ASF, despite no cases in these regions for three years. Kazakhstan has also not lifted restrictions on the import of livestock products from several Russian regions due to concerns about bird flu and other animal diseases.
