The Canary Islands Government's Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food Sovereignty has allocated 83,151 euros in aid to aloe vera and olive producers for the 2023 campaign. The aid, funded by the European Agricultural Agrarian Guarantee Fund, will be distributed to farmers who own a farm in the Canary Islands and maintain a regular aloe vera or olive plantation of at least 2,000 m2. The aid will be split into 17,818 euros for aloe vera and 65,333 euros for olives, with a maximum of 550 euros per hectare. An additional 10% aid supplement will be given to 'young farmers' who have previously received aid from the Canary Islands Rural Development Program.
