The fifth agroecological region on the agroecological map of Bulgaria is the region of cinnamon forest soils. It includes 6 sub-regions, which cover low mountain terrains with pronounced erosion processes. The overall productive potential of the lands in this agroecological region is characterized by an average agronomic score of 46 points for the entire area, which classifies them as "moderately good lands." In terms of individual crops, the best conditions are for oriental tobacco (the average score for the entire region is 64 points), but in the Petrich-Sandanski sub-region, Kardzhali sub-region, Gotse Delchev sub-region, and Malko Tarnovo sub-region, there are also "very good" and "good lands" – the quality score is 80 and from 64 to 71 points, respectively. In the Razlog sub-region, there are "good" lands for growing potatoes, and in the Petrich-Sandanski sub-region, for apples and wheat.
