Argentina: Poultry exports grew 20% in the first 10 months of the year

The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation reports that exports of the poultry sector, between January and October of this year, increased 20% in tons, and 26% in FOB US$, compared to the same period in 2023. From the data of the Directorate of Pigs, Poultry and Farm Animals, it is clear that total exports went from 129 thousand tons to 154 thousand tons between January and October 2024, where 63% of this volume corresponds to cut chicken, 35% to whole chicken and 2% to processed chicken. The value of these reached 185 million FOB US$. Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Angola and Hong Kong stand out as destinations for poultry meat exports, among 60 destination markets on all continents.
