Prices for vegetables and fuel slowed inflation in Ukraine - NBU

In September 2025, inflation in Ukraine continued to decline to 11.9% year-on-year. On a monthly basis, prices rose by only 0.3%, according to the State Statistics Service. The National Bank in its comment noted that the actual inflation trajectory remains below the forecast published in the July Inflation Report. This is stated on the regulator's website. The National Bank explained this by the reduction in prices of vegetables and the weakening of price pressure in the fruit market, while core inflation slowed as expected, remaining close to the forecast. "The slowdown in inflation was observed across a wide range of components. At the same time, the fundamental price pressure remains significant, as indicated by the seasonally adjusted core inflation indicators and the dynamics of service inflation," the NBU reported.
