Spain's black truffle harvest has seen a dramatic decrease of 50% from the previous year, leading to a significant increase in prices. The cost for a kilo of black truffle has risen by over 30%, with prices ranging from € 400 to € 500 in warehouses and as high as € 1,000 per kilo in markets. Despite these challenges, Spain remains the world's largest producer, with major contributions from regions such as the Gúdar-Javalambre Mountains, Girona, and the north of Huesca, as well as areas in Soria and Castilla. Black truffle cultivation is also expanding in the mountains of Andalusia.
