The article highlights the increased demand for currant saplings in Ukraine due to crop losses from southern burns and eastern frosts. The Mayvo nursery in the Ivano-Frankivsk region is playing a key role in this, having grown varieties like Ores, Tiben, Thyssel, and Ruben, which are suitable for mechanized harvesting. Other berries like honeysuckle, sea buckthorn, gooseberry, and red chokeberry are also popular. The price of currants last year, which reached 70 UAH / kg due to a crop failure and mass uprooting, has led to a resurgence of interest in these berries.
