Purchasing power versus feed is at a record level

The purchasing power of poultry farmers in the state of São Paulo for soy meal – one of the main inputs of the activity – reached a record in October, considering the entire historical series of the Cepea, which began in July 2004. According to the Center for Research, this result shows that, despite the challenges brought by the avian flu case in May of this year in a commercial farm in Rio Grande do Sul, the national poultry sector proved to be effective, complying with excellence with all the protocols required by the moment and ensuring a rapid recovery.
