A meeting was held between Major General Ashraf Al-Dawdy, Governor of Qena, Engineer Gamal Abdel-Hakam, Director General of the Aswan Fisheries Region, and Engineer Osama Ahmed Musa, Director of the Fish Hatchery in Nagaa Hammadi, to discuss the protection and development of the fish wealth in the governorate. The aim is to ensure meeting the citizens' needs and achieving fish self-sufficiency. The Lakes Protection and Development Authority is planning to land one million units of Nile tilapia, silver carp, and grass carp fry in the Nile branch in Naga Hammadi to increase fish stocks and achieve food security.
