An entrepreneur from China's Guyuan county, Xiang Yonggang, has returned from a successful trip to Peru, aiming to foster partnerships between Chinese and Peruvian farmers to enhance quinoa trade. Inspired by the warm reception and Peru's rich quinoa cultivation traditions, Xiang is set to export advanced Chinese machinery and agricultural products to Peru, while also introducing high-quality Peruvian quinoa to China. His company plans to import 300 to 500 metric tons of Peruvian quinoa for further processing to create value-added products. Located in Zhangjiakou, Guyuan county has emerged as a significant center for quinoa cultivation, with over 20 enterprises and 60 villages involved, occupying about one-sixth of China's total quinoa planting area. These enterprises have developed over 35 products and are looking to sign cooperation agreements with Peruvian organizations to share their advanced agricultural techniques and the use of Beidou navigation technology for more precise farming.
