The State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Seapa) in Brazil has reported significant price increases for several vegetables at the CeasaMinas warehouse in Contagem, due to unfavorable weather conditions. The most affected vegetables were potatoes, tomatoes, pumpkin, Italian zucchini, and okra, with potatoes seeing the most dramatic increase from R$3.47 to R$6.13 per kilo. In contrast, onions, carrots, chayote, and peppers saw price drops. The report highlights the direct impact of weather on agricultural production and suggests that future vegetable prices will be heavily influenced by ongoing weather conditions.
